| SALLY ANGEL has a track record in producing factual programming. She has been a consultant to media companies and individuals including BBC Broadcast, Sunday Times Journalists, Axon Publishing, and UKtv. |
| Sally was also Managing Director of the TV arm of Marshall Publishing, an international book packaging company,which pioneered 360degree commercial exploitation of content with web, book and TV applications. Contracts included Discovery Channel and I-Collector the on-line auction site. |
| Sally spent twelve years at the BBC, devising, launching and producing One Foot in the Past, House Detectives and TV Heroes. She was a Producer/Director on The Late Show, Omnibus and Arena and worked as Executive Producer of Peter York’s Eighties. She also set up the BBC’s first archive unit dedicated to producing theme nights ranging from TV Hell, Perfect Christmas, A Night in with Alan Bennett and Granadaland, to the CRE nominated Black & White In Colour – a History of Race on TV. |
| In 2004 through production company Angel TV, Sally Angel and Samantha Bakhurst devised and produced Time Trail for UKtv History and Anglia Television. In addition to the programme they provided a comprehensive package including interactive applications and website content. The series was UKtv History's best premiering origination to date. Angel TV has also produced programming with Women in Film and Television. |
BBC MANAGEMENT
Sally was Special Assistant to Alan Yentob, the Controller of BBC1 and BBC2. She was responsible for positioning UK Style prior to launch and was Commercial Channels Manager for BBC Production and Channel Development Executive for BBC Broadcast. Her last job at the BBC was as Commissioning Editor for the BBC’s first digital channel, BBC Choice. |
